1 Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, and protected when you play Lavanana (the "App"), published by Lince Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to the terms described in this document.
2 Information We Collect
2.1 Information you voluntarily provide
Leaderboard nickname: if you choose to participate in the global speed run leaderboard, we ask you to pick a public nickname. This nickname is associated with an anonymous identifier and is visible to other players next to your best time. We do not ask for your real name, email address, age, postal address, or phone number.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Anonymous account identifier (Firebase Authentication): when you open the App, an anonymous UID is automatically generated. This identifier is not linked to any personal data and is used solely to associate your nickname and best time with the leaderboard.
- Speed run data (only if you have chosen a nickname): total accumulated time, per-level times, medals earned, client version, and platform (iOS / Android). Used exclusively to validate the score and display it on the leaderboard.
- Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics): when the App experiences an error, technical information is sent — stack trace, device model, OS version, device language, and a Firebase-generated installation identifier. This data is anonymous and used solely to detect and fix bugs.
- Advertising identifier (Google AdMob): the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect Google's Advertising ID and basic device data to personalize and limit the frequency of ads. See Google's advertising policy.
2.3 Information we do NOT collect
3 Local Storage on Your Device
Your game progress — unlocked level, bananas, casino chips, medals, per-level times, nickname, audio and language preferences — is stored only on your device's local storage in a database encrypted with AES-256.
The encryption key is stored in the operating system's secure keychain (Keychain on iOS / Keystore on Android) and never leaves the device. This data is not sent to any server and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
4 How We Use the Information
We use the information described in section 2 only for the following purposes:
- To display your nickname and your time on the global speed run leaderboard.
- To validate scores and prevent cheating.
- To detect, diagnose, and fix errors and unexpected shutdowns.
- To display ads and limit how often they appear.
- To schedule local reminder notifications encouraging you to return to the game.
5 Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
These providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Google offers international transfer mechanisms compliant with GDPR (Standard Contractual Clauses).
6 Local Notifications
If you grant permission, the App schedules local notifications on your device:
- Reminders to return to play at 1, 2, 4, and 7 days after your last session.
- A welcome gift notification three hours after your first opening.
- An alert about free bananas when the countdown is active.
7 System Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vibration | Haptic feedback when falling into lava or triggering combos |
| Receive Boot Completed (Android) | So that scheduled notifications continue to fire after a device restart |
| Notifications (Android 13+) | Optional — to display the reminders described in section 6 |
| Internet Access | Required for the leaderboard, ads, and crash reporting |
8 Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
You have the right to access, rectify, and erase the data associated with your nickname, as well as to object to its processing. The App offers the following options inside the Settings menu:
- "Delete my data": permanently deletes your nickname and your leaderboard entry from our servers. This action is irreversible.
- "Reset progress": deletes all local progress on your device (levels, bananas, chips, medals, times). This action is irreversible.
- Leaderboard opt-out: disable submitting to the global leaderboard at any time using the "Appear on the leaderboard" toggle in Settings.
If you wish to exercise any other right granted by applicable law (GDPR for EU residents, CCPA for California residents, or other local frameworks), contact us at the address in section 12. We will respond within a maximum of 30 calendar days.
9 Data Retention
- Leaderboard data (nickname, time, medals): kept while your anonymous account is active. If you press "Delete my data" or uninstall the App for an extended period, we may delete your entry without prior notice.
- Crashlytics data: Google retains it for 90 days by default.
- Local device data: kept until you uninstall the App or use "Reset progress".
10 Security
We apply the following technical measures:
- AES-256 encryption of local storage with the key held in Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android).
- Connections to Firebase servers exclusively over HTTPS/TLS.
- Server-side validation of scores to prevent manipulation.
We do not store passwords, banking data, or personally identifiable data beyond the public nickname you choose.
11 Children and Minors
The App is suitable for all audiences but is not specifically designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information (for example, by choosing an identifiable nickname), please contact us and we will delete it without delay.
Ads served by Google AdMob may not always be suitable for minors. If Google Play categorizes this application as suitable for children under "Designed for Families", we will configure AdMob in accordance with COPPA restrictions and Google Play's Families policy.

13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal changes or new features of the App. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the document and, if changes are substantial, notify you within the App itself or on the Google Play listing. We encourage you to review this document periodically.
